YOUTHFUL EXUBERANCE

I laid on the mat, when Bobby walked into the room, it was dark and because he is very dark it was hard to see him.

"Hwfa, wetin de sup?" I asked him.
"Mehn, i am not in a good mood," he replies
I ask him. "what is the problem?"
"do you know that Uche had the guts to tell Nina that he sees her in his dream chasing him,and now the girl is feeling bad"
"Brother this is very serious, why would he say that?"
"I don't know, maybe it is because the girl did not accept his request for a romantic relationship, i will go and warn him severely tomorrow"
"Bobby there is no need to confront him maybe he was joking with her."
"well i don't think it was a joke." He continues blabbing about the issue, until i plead that he should be quiet because i am trying to have some sleep, he does not budge, but after a while he stops blabbing.

I stretch my hands and yawn, who is that shouting sef, Is it good to pray and disturb other people's peace.
It is very cold, rain is drizzling outside. After some time Bobby wakes, goes to brush his mouth.
"I am going to Uche's house now," Bobby says.
I check my watch. "Bobby it is just getting to seven, it is too early".
"That does not concern me," he says.
"hmm, I am going to escort you," i offer.
"okay bro."

We walk to Uche's house, i am trying not to get my leg very dirty because of the muddy ground.
"He is going to fight me today, he will show me that power he has been claiming to have."
"Tell me how Nina reported the issue exactly to you."
"i did not really hear her, but i heard her say that Uche stopped her on her way back to school and told her that he sees her in his dream pursuing her." 
"what was her mood, when she told you this?"
"guy, she was very angry and disturbed," he replies.
We get to Uche's house it is small and fenced round, with a black gate, there are houses around but kind of far all fenced.

Bobby knocks on the door, konk! konk! konk! A voice ask,"Who is that?" 
"it is me Bobby," Bobby replies.
The gate opens, "Uche please i want to talk to you," Bobby says. "let's go to that building."
"what is it you want to tell me?" ask Uche
"let's just go to that building because of the rain" Bobby says
"Okay"

"Uche why did you go and tell my girlfriend that rubbish?" Bobby says.
"what," ask Uche
"why will you tell her that you saw her in your dream, what sort of rubbish is that," Bobby says,
"Oh..., Bobby, so this is why you called me out of my house! "are you mad?"
Bobby kneels on the ground and raises his two hands up. "I beg you in the name of God don't talk to my babe again, or else that power you claim to have you will show it to me."
"you are a fool," Uche says
Bobby stands up to react, i intervene in time, standing between Bobby and Uche. "Uche it was wrong of you to tell Nina that," i say. "what is her buisness with your dream??"
"Tee, i have had that dream for four times now."
"Then go to church or something, instead of going to confront my girlfriend, or else i will deal with you"
"Uche, what is going on there," Uche's father ask from his gate
Uche and Bobby both walk towards Papa Uche.
"Sir please i came to warn Uche to stay away from my girlfriend, he told her that he saw her in his dream chasing him with a weapon." 
"Is this Uche's house? You are coming to warn uche in my own house, do you no know it is disrespectful. I thought it was someone i owe money that knocked the gate. so, if it was me that came to open the gate you would had told me to call Uche so u can warn him?
"no sir, i am sorry sir"
"lets go under that building", Papa Uche says

"so both of you are quarreling over a Woman," Papa Uche says.
"sir please i just came to warn him to stop telling my girlfriend trash."
"so you came to fight him, which is why you brought your friend to help you,"
"Sir please, i am just an escort," i say.
"my Son i should be telling you about this relationship stuffs. They both of you are still living under someone's roof and yet you are fighting over a girl, if you make money you will meet better girls, this one that you are doing Bobby, there is no 10% chance that it will end up in marriage."
"sir, you are right women will be flocking around them if they make ego," I say.
"During my service in NYSC, i shared a room with a friend, most times i left the room so that he could have some private time with a girl he loved, do you know that it was this same lady that stabbed my friend, he died and the girl is still living, Many men with bright future have been brought down or led to their downfall because they let a woman be their weakness, Ptolemy XIV and Mark Anthony are examples Cleopatra had power over them, same with Sampson and Delilah. I am not saying that women are evil generally as there are some good ones like my wife, just concentrate on your studies and forget this things for now." 
"you need two things to keep a Woman, one is maturity, the other money. As a result of your actions i will believe you both don't have any. You both should use your youth in serving God and thinking of how you can make at least 3,000 Naira in a day. Serve God and other things will be added to you". "That is the best advice i can give"
